直接光源(Direct Light)與間接光源(in-Direct Light

直接光源:(直接照明)

通常在3D軟體中預設的光源照明方式皆為直接光源。直接光源的呈現方式是軟體中模擬燈光所發射出的光線朝照射方向直線前進,並在接觸到場景中的物件之後直接根據光所接觸的面積在相對方向投射出邊緣銳利且無色調變化的陰影。

此類陰影產生的渲染時間較為直接且快速,但無法接近真實的光影效果。(如圖)


間接光源:(間接照明)

間接光源在目前的3D軟體的渲染方式習慣以全局照明Global Illumination)來稱呼。一樣是在3D軟體中模擬光線的直線照射,但不同之處在於此光線會在接觸到場景中的物件之後依照物件所設定的材質屬性,如反射率與表面顏色等參數來反彈光線,使光線在場景中的不同表面之間反射而形成帶有色彩暈染與柔化的陰影。此類陰影產生需要較長的渲染時間,但可以模擬出非常真實的光影效果。(如圖)
